Street Fighter X Mega Man V2 slides in for free on Jan. 18

Capcom crossover Street Fighter X Mega Man picks up a free V2 update on Friday, January 18, via its group page on Capcom Unity. While we can’t exactly gnash our fangs over a freebie like SFxMM, there’s no doubt V2 brings some very welcome fixes and additions.

None more so than the addition of passwords, meaning we don’t have to start the game from scratch every time we exit it. That’s something that happened a heck of a lot to us because of accidentally pressing the insta-shutdown Escape button, but thankfully V2 remedies this too; now Escape and F12 bring up prompts making sure you want to exit or reset respectively.

Other minor adjustments include better support for controllers, the ability to capture screenshots (via F9), and a buff for M Bison – not that Bison ever needs one, of course.
