Report: Elder Scrolls MMO announcement coming in May
Over the years, there has been lots of speculation about a massively multiplayer online game set in the Elder Scrolls universe. A new report has surfaced claiming the project will be announced in May.Citing three unnamed sources, Tom’s Guide reports that Elder Scrolls Online will take place in the Second Era, or a full millennium before the events of Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. The report also said there will be three factions, represented by a lion, a dragon, and some sort of bird of prey.Attempts to reach Bethesda for comment went unanswered. It has been a poorly kept secret that Bethesda and ZeniMax were working on an MMO, as they have had numerous job postings on their site looking for MMO developer talent. A Fallout MMO was hoped, but the company only recently acquired the rights to an MMO back from Interplay.
