Pokemon Mystery Dungeon opens ‘Gates to Infinity’ on 3DS in March
Pokemon’s kid-friendly roguelike spinoff comes to 3DS in North America on March 24. The localized title, Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity, removes the Japanese title’s reference to “Magnagates” presumably because that word is really hard to read.
Magnagates still figure into the game design, however, allowing players to scan any real-world circular shape with the 3DS camera, turning the image of that object into a gate through which new, randomly-generated dungeons can be accessed.
