Minecraft: Pi Edition headed to Raspberry Pi

You may be wondering how a fruity, tangy dessert could possibly run Minecraft, but we’re not talking about that kind of pie. No, we’re referring to Raspberry Pi, the $35 computer that fits in your pocket. Mojang has created a modified version of Minecraft: Pocket Edition for the tiny computer, appropriately titled Minecraft: Pi Edition.

Pi Edition will support multiple programming languages, allowing users to modify the game directly, which Mojang says is “a bit like being Notch, Jeb, or Nathan, but arguably more fun and less stressful.” Minecraft: Pi Edition will be available as a free download “soon.”Minecraft: Pi Edition headed to Raspberry Pi originally appeared on Joystiq on Mon, 26 Nov 2012 18:30:00 EST.
