Microsoft’s new Surface for Windows RT tablet will indeed launch on Friday, 26th October – the same day as Windows 8. That’s what we’d expected; that’s what Microsoft had said back in June. But the Windows-maker had gone quiet of late. “The next version of our operating system, Windows 8, will be generally available on October 26, 2012.
