Hakuoki returns as a PSP action game
Your favorite visual novel about romancing a group of samurai is about to get less romantic and more violent. Hakuoki: Warriors of the Shinsengumi is a spinoff for PSP, in which you control the six characters from the previous game in an alternate history version of … well, what was already an alternate history.
Set in the late Edo period in Japan, the story follows a young woman, Chizuru, searching for her lost father, accompanied by the Shinsengumi. Players will take control of any of the Hakuoki characters, in two modes, one faithful to the Hakuoki: Demon of the Fleeting Blossom storyline and one “alternate.”
Aksys will release this unlikely spinoff on PSP “soon;” no specific date was revealed.
