Guild Wars 2 Diary
Guild Wars 2 isn’t officially out until Tuesday 28th August, but several Eurogamer writers are running around the three-day Head Start period, and we’ll be reporting on our experiences over the next few days. We’ll do a proper review of the game once we’ve had more time to get stuck into it. In the meantime, we’ll keep updating this article with our impressions – newest post first. Oh, and we’re playing on Gunnar’s Hold (when we can get on) as Norns, so watch out, and say hello if you encounter us! Tom Bramwell, Oli Welsh, Christian Donlan, John Bedford and Quintin Smith are your intrepid reporters. Rock Paper Shotgun’s Alec Meer will also be making a special guest appearance. If you ask me, the soul of an MMO is found in its cities. In their artwork and atmosphere they do more than anything else to define the virtual culture you’re hanging out in – and by providing somewhere to socialise, trade, craft and generally hang out and enjoy downtime, they serve as the glue that sticks these worlds together.
