Crytek has DX11 graphics running in Crysis 3 on PS3, Xbox 360
German developer Crytek has DirectX 11 graphics running on Crysis 3 on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The PC version of the sci-fi shooter sequel, due out spring 2012, will build upon the stunning Crysis 2 DirectX 11 Ultra Upgrade, but the programmer wizards at Crytek aim to get at least some of this running in the console version of the game. “We want to make sure as much as is humanly possible can translate from a DX11 variant into a DX9 variant, that will work almost as good on an Xbox console to whatever extent we can, because we don’t want the experience to be different between the platforms,” Rasmus H
