Black Ops 2 Wii U online play down [update: it’s back]

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 online services are “degraded” on Wii U right now, Activision says. “Users in some locations may experience difficulty accessing online games,” according to the Blops 2 status page. That’s a bit of an understatement in our experience: We just tried to connect and found that the game stuck at the “connect to online service” screen endlessly.

Reader reports indicate that this connection problem coincides with a recent update. We’ve checked in with Activision to verify the source of the issue, and to get an estimated time for a fix.
