Assassin’s Creed 3 sales estimated at over 3.5 million units
Ubisoft has estimated that Assassin’s Creed 3 has sold over 3.5 million units in its first week out, more than doubling that of Assassin’s Creed: Revelations during the same time frame last year.Unfortunately for the publisher, these figures aren’t included in its recent financial report for the six month period ending on 30th September, which ended in a €32.3 million loss. This is par for the course during the spring/summer seasons as all the big money makers come out in Q4 – or get delayed into Q1.Looking ahead, the developer has several big releases during this time frame. In addition to the aforementioned Assassin’s Creed 3, there’s Far Cry 3 – which “has achieved among the best playtest scores in Ubisoft’s history,” according to Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot – as well as Wii U launch titles Rayman Legends and ZombieU.
